Don't Be a Dursley

The creators of one of our favorite podcasts – Harry Potter and the Sacred Text – asked us to help with a fundraiser they are organizing.

From the organizers:
"We as members of the Harry Potter and the Sacred Text community want to fight against the Dursley-ish aspects of ourselves. It is our duty to help the weak and marginalized, and together we will raise more money for the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES) than we ever could alone.

Join us in raising money for RAICES, as they do the hard work on the southern border. This work includes legal representation and advocacy during cases of family separation, support and social services for refugees, and communication to the public on issues of immigration and detention at the border. This work, day in and day out, is time consuming. Our job here is to take some of the burden of fundraising off of the RAICES staff so that they can focus on helping immigrants and refugees."

We wrote this new song as a way to try to capture Harry's experience as an outsider in the very home he grew up in. We will donate all proceeds from this song to the campaign, so if you enjoy the song, throw down a few dollars and we'll pass it along.
